Course explanation

Practical PDR training for a repair skill that can be used inside a real workshop.

PDR removes minor dents without repainting when the panel, paint condition, access, and damage type allow it. The course helps participants understand repair limits, tool control, light reading, and how the skill can fit into a workshop service plan. If the buyer needs detailing, SMART repair, wheel repair, or another type of car restoration training, M&H Group can review that request separately.

What PDR is

Non-invasive dent removal that keeps the painted finish intact where the damage is suitable.

How it fits a workshop

It helps a workshop assess and repair PDR-suitable work within its own process.

Why 5 days

Enough time for demonstration, guided practice, repetition, and confidence building.

Practical training content

Learn the assessment, tools, light control, and practical repair process.

Practical hands-on training, not theory-only. Small group guidance keeps the workshop focused on real dent-repair work, realistic damage limits, and how to review suitable work after training.

Assess the dentReview damage shape, paint condition, and access before repair.
Read reflectionsUse reflection lines to identify highs and lows in the panel.
Select the toolMatch the tool and contact point to panel position and construction.
Control movementPractice structured tool movement on real vehicle body panels.
Preserve paint where suitableRepair without repainting when paint, access, and damage conditions allow.
Understand repair limitsSeparate PDR-suitable work from damage requiring another repair process.

Five-day syllabus

A clear progression from dent assessment to a supervised final repair.

Each day builds on the previous skills. The training team may adjust practice damage to suit participant background and progress without changing the core course outcomes.

Day 1

Dent assessment and repair limits

Read dent shape, check paint and panel condition, assess access, and separate suitable PDR work from damage that needs another repair method.

Day 2

Tool selection and access planning

Match tools to the panel and repair position, establish safe working posture, and begin controlled pressure exercises on practice panels.

Day 3

Reflection-board reading and panel control

Use a reflection board to identify highs, lows, and panel flow, then practise controlled pushes with frequent result checks.

Day 4

Supervised repair repetition

Plan the repair sequence, practise correcting highs and lows, and learn when to stop, reassess, or refer unsuitable damage.

Day 5

Supervised completion and practice plan

Complete an exercise from assessment through final review, receive individual feedback, and identify the skills that require continued practice after the course.

Private 1-to-1 progression

Days 1-2 establish the foundation. Kevin then adapts the Day 3-5 exercises to cover advanced work appropriate to the participant's ability, practice panel, and safely trainable damage.
